           Response to Activist Shareholder Announcement

LONGREACH OIL AND GAS LIMITED (TSX-V: LOI), an independent oil and gas
company focused on Morocco ("Longreach" or the "Company"), has been
advised that certain shareholders of the Company have announced an
intention to take steps to reconstitute the Board of Directors and
Management team of Longreach. The Company is in the process of
reviewing the announcement with its legal advisors.
