Lotus Public Relations Selected as Agency of Record for the Global Student Entrepreneur Awards (GSEA)

Lotus Chosen to Enhance Public Relations and Media Relations Efforts

NEW YORK, NY--(Marketwire - September 14, 2009) - Lotus Public Relations today announced that it has been selected as the PR Agency of Record for the GSEA (Global Student Entrepreneur Awards) -- the premier global competition for undergraduate students who own and operate businesses while attending college or university.

Lotus Public Relations was chosen by the GSEA to support its branding, media relations and publicity interests for the 2009 global competition. Lotus' main tactics will include: public relations and key influencer outreach, partnership creation, and GSEA brand development.

"We chose to utilize the efforts of a well-respected agency this year because we feel that now, more than ever, the world really needs to be aware of the value entrepreneurship brings to the economy and to the human spirit," said Dean Lindal, vice president, Entrepreneurs' Organization. "We were aware of Lotus' outstanding reputation and results for entrepreneurial organizations and knew they would be a good fit for the GSEA."

The GSEA, a program of the Entrepreneurs' Organization, supports early-stage student entrepreneurs who require much needed mentorship, recognition and connections to take their businesses to the next level of success. Regional competitions are being held now through November 2nd around the world. Finalists will compete for the "Global Student Entrepreneur of the Year" award during Global Entrepreneurship Week at the Ewing Marion Kauffman Foundation, November 19-22, 2009 in Kansas City, MO.

"As an agency, we have always been deeply committed to entrepreneurship, having worked with over 30 entrepreneurial teams and their businesses to help them move the needle, faster and more effectively, through smart public relations strategies," said Susan Lindner, Lotus Public Relations' founder and president. "GSEA's mission is focused on fostering job creation, innovation and economic growth through entrepreneurship and we stand with them to recognize these worthy student entrepreneurs, worldwide."

About the Global Student Entrepreneur Awards

As the premier global competition for undergraduate students, the Global Student Entrepreneur Awards (GSEA) inspire students to adopt entrepreneurial endeavors by bringing global visibility to student business owners who are innovative, profitable and socially responsible. Since 1998, the GSEA, a program founded at the John Cook School of Business at Saint Louis University, has honored outstanding undergraduates who juggle a course load as a student and run their own businesses at the same time. The Entrepreneurs' Organization (EO) took on leadership of the GSEA in 2006 to offer student entrepreneurs access to a global network of mentors, resources and connections from the most influential community of entrepreneurs in the world. The GSEA is generously supported by founding partner Mercedes Benz Financial and major foundations, including the NYSE Foundation, the Ewing Marion Kauffman Foundation, the Acton Foundation for Entrepreneurial Excellence and the Todd Thomas Foundation.
