LRAD Corporation Awarded $500,000+ LRAD 300X™ Order for Foreign Armored Vehicles

Company on Target for Strong Fiscal Q4

SAN DIEGO, CA--(Marketwire - Sep 22, 2011) - LRAD Corporation (NASDAQ: LRAD), the world's leading provider of long range acoustic hailing devices (AHDs), announced today it has been awarded a $500,000+ LRAD 300X™ systems order for deployment on foreign armored national police vehicles. The order is scheduled to ship next quarter.

LRAD 300X is a low profile, lightweight, long-range communication solution for use on armored vehicles, common remotely operated weapon stations (CROWS) and small vessels. Easily transported, the 300X provides military and law enforcement personnel a highly effective hailing and warning capability. LRAD 300X systems produce nearly 100% intelligible voice transmission beyond 1.5 km. LRAD 300X operators have the ability to issue clear, authoritative voice commands and deterrent tones to enhance response capabilities. The extended frequency range of the 300X ensures voice commands in any language are clearly heard and understood.

"We developed the 300X to supply military and law enforcement personnel the means to create standoff zones and communicate with civilian populations and potentially hostile forces from within the safety of their armored vehicles," commented Tom Brown, president and CEO of LRAD Corporation. "Using long-range communications to resolve uncertain situations peacefully saves lives on both sides of the Long Range Acoustic Device®."

Commenting on the Company's current fiscal quarter, Brown remarked, "We're on target for a strong Q4 that will build upon the previously reported record fiscal year revenues for our fiscal year ending September 30, 2011."
