LTB Audio Launches Q-Bean Wireless Control Audio Device

TETERBORO, NJ--(Marketwire - July 10, 2007) - LTB Audio Systems, Inc. has launched Q-Bean, a digital wireless device which offers everything from digital CD-quality audio to a built-in microphone for speech and remote control features for Windows Media Player and Media Center users as well as music and movie playback. The Q-Bean system consists of the USB Puck and receiver. The USB Puck is a 2.4GHz digital radio frequency transmitter that connects to a computer via its USB ports. The transmitter puck requires no software for Windows XP, Vista, Mac or Linux operating systems and provides non-compressed streaming audio to the receiver. The receiver, a wireless key fob-sized device, integrates a microphone for voice communication, Window Media Player remote functions and a powerful adaptive digital signal with GSFK modulation.

The Q-Bean utilizes LTB's proprietary ARIO wireless technology, a true digital uncompressed technique that solves the interference problem often encountered in the 2.4 GHz wireless band. This advanced RF technology delivers a robust non-compressed CD-quality audio signal that has a range of up to 150 feel (line of sight) and uses a secure pairing synchronization to insure a one to one connection. The ARIO wireless technology is similar to Bluetooth but also is quite adaptable and does not interfere with other media devices. This advanced wireless technology will provide zero latency voice communication.

The built-in microphone enables a user to take advantage of VoIP, speech recognition and speech to text features available in many software and internet applications such as Paltalk and Skype.

"The microphone allows users to talk and listen with no delay and its strong signal provides a noise-free sound even with WiFi or other household wireless devices present," said Jon Miller, Vice President Sales/Marketing LTB Audio.

Q-Bean has the ability to remotely control Windows Media player functions, volume up/down controls, pause and play function. Now you can virtually carry your entire media collection wirelessly from your computer. Q-Bean is offered in techno orange and piano black colors and will capture the interest of PC and laptop users who want to manage a play list or step up and dance to their music.

Q-Bean is packaged in a unique circular Yin-Yang design and includes high quality aluminum shielded ear buds which deliver high performance in-ear audio; rechargeable Lithium Polymer battery which provides up to 10 hours of listening time; adjustable lanyard to clip the receiver to or you can clip it to a pocket; USB charge cable and a USB plug & play transmitter.

Q-Bean suggested retail price is $119.95. In addition, LTB is offering a stereo version, model #Q-Bean-ST, suggested retail price $129.95, with battery operated transmitter for popular MP3 players like iPod and Zune as well as wireless interfaces to standard audio systems, TV, portable DVD players and gaming consoles.
