LTS Scale and Land Air Express Announce Mobile Dimensioning Deployment

TWINSBURG, OH--(Marketwire - Jul 6, 2012) - LTS Scale, a leader in mobile weighing and dimensioning systems, recently signed an agreement with Land Air Express of New England to install a mobile dimensioning system at Land Air's warehouse facility in Carlstadt, NJ. This system will utilize LTS Scale's latest mobile dimensioning technology, MobileCube™, to provide Land Air the means to improve LTL loading and stowability, increase productivity, and form the basis for contract/tariff measurement reviews. MobileCube™ units will be installed on Land Air's Carlstadt fork truck fleet to accurately weigh and dimension palletized freight, and wirelessly send that information to Land Air for analysis and processing.

"Our MobileCube™ unit is the first of its kind fork truck mounted dimensioning system that is NTEP certified and approved Legal for Trade," says Jack Pangrazio, President and CEO of LTS Scale. "MobileCube™ promises to do for dimensioning what the LTS Lift Truck Scale did for palletized product weighing."

"We are very excited to be bringing this technology to Land Air Express," says Tom Spencer, Vice President of Land Air Express. "MobileCube will allow us to dimensionalize our freight far more efficiently and more accurately than previous methods." Dave Bush, Director of Business Processes for Land Air Express adds, "We feel this new system will not only help us recover additional revenues missed otherwise, but will also keep our docks far more productive than if we utilized a Static dimensioning product."

LTS Scale has been in business for 39 years and provides mobile weighing and dimensioning devices to the freight handling industry in North America. LTS Scale is headquartered in Twinsburg, OH.

Land Air Express has been in the LTL/TL business since 1968 and is based in Burlington, VT. They have 14 terminal locations throughout the Northeast with next day direct coverage to all direct points as well as nationwide coverage through their membership in The Reliance Network.
