Commencing the official Toronto Fashion Week schedule, renowned Canadian designer Lucian Matis will present his Fall/Winter 2012 collection at the Fairmont Royal York Hotel, 100 Front Street West, Toronto on Monday, March 12 at 6:00pm.

Inspired by his admiration of the smallest details in nature; be it the profound balance of a butterfly's wings, rock formations or the linear lined orb of Earth, the Lucian Matis Fall/Winter 2012 collection celebrates nature's art in symmetry.

"The lines in nature can travel, swirl and conjoin. These natural patterns are nature's expression and purpose," explains Matis. "My designs have adapted and evolved through colours and shapes; the grace in movement which this planet and nature must play out from minute to minute, birth to death, and most importantly, the beauty in attraction."

For the third season in a row, Lucian Matis Inc. continues its partnership with beauty by Smashbox - this fall show led by Director - Global Pro Lead Artistry, Smashbox Cosmetics Lori Taylor, and hair by Schwarzkopf Professional.

"I am very excited to be working with the talented teams at Smashbox and Schwarzkopf once again for makeup and hair," says Matis. "Having the expert artistic eye of Lori Taylor on board as lead makeup artist brings together an essential element to presenting my vision for this season."

Expected celebrity guests include Sarah Gadon (A Dangerous Method), Keisha Chante, Gabrielle Miller (Corner Gas), Leah Miller (eTalk, So You Think You Can Dance Canada), Monica Schnarre, Stacey McKenzie, Fefe Dobson, Cory Lee (Degrassi), Lisa Berry (Combat Hospital, Nikita), and Meghan Heffern (Blue Mountain State, Almost Heroes).

Additional sponsors include Fairmont Royal York, Fiji Water, P1M, Marketwire, Peroni, Collavini Prosecco, Tips Nail Bar, and Purdy's Chocolates.
