Lucid Dimensions Releases the ShotSense3D™ Weapons Fire Detection and PTrack™ Intrusion Detection Systems to the Military and Law Enforcement Community at FPED VIII

LOUISVILLE, CO--(Marketwire - May 5, 2011) - Lucid Dimensions, Inc. (LUCID), an emerging global leader in the design and manufacture of Infrared Spherical Detection Systems for threat detection, today announces it will participate at the 8th Force Protection Equipment Demonstration (FPED VIII). The event is sponsored by the Department of Defense's Physical Security Equipment Action Group, the Department of Energy, and the Technical Support Working Group and coordinated by the US Army Product Manager, Force Protection Systems. FPED VIII will take place from May 17-19, 2011 at the Stafford Regional Airport in Stafford, VA approximately 40 miles from Washington, D.C. LUCID's uncooled infrared threat detection systems provide a disruptive, low cost optical approach to high-speed, high-performance target detection, tracking and classification with low size, weight, and power.

LUCID will feature product demonstrations of its leading-edge ShotSense3D™ Weapons Fire Detection system. ShotSense3D™ gives the warfighter or first responder PRE-IMPACT detection, tracking, and classification of weapons fire in three dimensions. ShotSense3D™ offers high-speed, wide-area force protection with up to a 360° horizontal x 360° vertical coverage and calculates extremely accurate sub-degree angular coordinates to multiple weapons fire sources simultaneously. Weapon-type classification aids in threat determination and target prioritization. Information generated from the ShotSense3D™ instantly puts eyes on target while automatically cueing COTS imaging or countermeasure systems. ShotSense3D™ can be deployed on a multitude of platforms including Forward Operating Bases, borders, perimeters, ground vehicles, airborne, and maritime vessels.

Additionally, demonstrations of LUCID's PTrack™ Intrusion Detection system will exhibit capabilities in human and vehicular intrusion detection and tracking. PTrack™ provides thermal intrusion detection capabilities for systems requiring real-time, wide-area threat alert and tracking. The PTrack™ offers distinct advantages over contemporary surveillance with significantly enhanced 360° situational awareness and the ability to instantly and automatically cue and slew camera systems. Its streamlined power, data, and communications requirements allow users to optimize their operations. PTrack™ systems provide users value and actionable early alert information for time-critical force protection, security and intrusion detection applications.

Attendees are encouraged to stop by Booth 33-J to engage in product demonstrations and to obtain more details. Free online registration for attendees is available at through 5/10/2011.
