Lusomé Sleep Wear Inc. and the Canadian Cancer Society (the Society) are pleased to announce the establishment of the Lusomé Cancer Research Fund.

"We are proud to partner with the Canadian Cancer Society in a cause so near and dear to our hearts. Lusomé was founded to support women in all stages of life dealing with night sweats, including those caused by the side effects of cancer therapy. We have found a way to give back to support our clients and the communities we work and live in across the country," says Lara Smith, CEO of Lusomé.

"With the help of Lusomé, we can continue to invest in the best cancer research that will help us make progress in the fight against this disease," says Susan Horvath, Vice President, Leadership Philanthropy at the Canadian Cancer Society. "We are thankful to Lusomé and their customers for their commitment to improve the lives of those touched by cancer."

Lara Smith started Lusomé in large part to support her sister going through breast cancer therapy. The sleepwear line is helping many women sleep more comfortably during this difficult period of their lives.

Lusomé will donate a part of the proceeds from the Erin and Donna styles to the Lusomé Cancer Research Fund from October 1, 2014 through December 31, 2104.
