Lutheran Services Florida Promotes COO Chris Card to President

TAMPA, FL--(Marketwired - Aug 4, 2015) - Today, Lutheran Services Florida (LSF), a non-profit human services organization based in Tampa, announces Chief Operating Officer Chris Card's promotion to president.

Chris joined LSF in 2012, after serving as the south region vice president for Providence Services Corporation, where he was responsible for a wide range of social service programs throughout Florida, Texas and Louisiana. During his time in Tampa, Card has overseen the construction of 15 youth shelters, the expansion of delinquency prevention services, the tripling of adoptions throughout the state and the amplification of child abuse prevention and diversion services to more than 35,000 families.

Card's passion for LSF's mission and his contributions to the organization are consistently represented through the work he does each and every day. A natural collaborator, Card brings diverse groups of people together to solve community issues that yield the greatest results for children and families.

"This promotion is a well-deserved recognition of the invaluable operational leadership role Chris has assumed at LSF, and allows me to focus on fundraising and strategic leadership," Sam Sipes, CEO of LSF said.

Along with his new leadership role, Chris will retain his position as COO. Chris holds a Bachelor's Degree in Economics from Oakland University. He also earned his Master's in Social Work from Wayne State University and his Doctorate of Social Work at the University of South Florida.
