LXI Consortium Announces AUTOTESTCON Presentations and New Website


NIWOT, CO--(Marketwire - September 13, 2010) - Test engineers attending the upcoming AUTOTESTCON tradeshow will hear a variety of presentations from LXI Consortium leaders and member companies, along with seeing a new website launched by the LXI Consortium (www.lxistandard.org). The 2010 System Readiness Technology Conference, popularly known as AUTOTESTCON, will be held September 13-16, 2010 at the Orlando World Marriott Resort and Convention Center in Orlando, Florida.

Von Campbell, president of the LXI Consortium, will be the LXI representative in a technical seminar titled "VXI, PXI, IVI, LXI and AXIe Standards Improve ATE System Design," to be held Monday, September 13, 1:00 - 5:00 pm. The seminar is being hosted by Bode Enterprises, LLC.

LXI information will be included in a variety of presentations made by LXI member companies. On Tuesday, September 14, 3:30 - 5:15 pm, John S. Hansen and Ben Zarlingo, both of Agilent Technologies, will present "Improved Speed and Accuracy of Automated Measurements through Lower Noise Signal Analysis Platforms" as part of Session 1B4, which addresses Spectral and Vector Signal Analysis. Also during the same time slot and session, Matthew T. Hunter and Christopher D. Ziomek of ZTEC Instruments will present "Fundamentals of Modern Spectral Analysis" in conjunction with Achilleas Kourtellis of Astronics DME Corporation and Wasfy Mikhael of the University of Central Florida.

The following day, September 15, 8:00 - 9:45 am, Jochen Wolle of Rohde & Schwarz will discuss "Replacing Obsolete Instrumentation - Lessons Learned" as part of Session 2C1, which covers System Modernization issues. During the next session, 10:00 - 11:45 am, Tom Sarfi of VTI Instruments and Joe Headrick of Lockheed Martin STS will discuss "Enhancing Legacy General Purpose Interfaces" as part of Session 2C2, which covers System Design Considerations. Later that day, at 1:30 - 3:15 pm, Duane Lowenstein of Agilent Technologies will discuss "The Real 'Total Cost of Ownership' of Your Test Equipment" as part of Session 2A3, which addresses Managing & Implementing Test Program Life Cycle Cost.

Also during the conference, 23 of the Consortium's more than 50 member companies and educational institutions will be on hand to demonstrate their new products and talk about the latest trends in instrument operability.
