LXI Consortium Certifies 69 Instruments as LXI-Compliant

Nearly 1300 LXI Instruments Offer System Builders Greater Choice and Flexibility


NIWOT, CO--(Marketwire - January 21, 2010) - Since October 2009, the LXI Consortium certified 69 new instruments as LXI (LAN eXtensions for Instrumentation) compliant. Many of these instruments were certified at the Consortium's 15th PlugFest event held recently in Longmont, Colorado.

The newly compliant products bring the total number of LXI-compliant instruments to 1288, which are available from 28 different LXI vendors. The list of new compliant instruments available includes:

--  A scanning/measuring system from VTI Instruments Corporation
--  Spectrum analyzers, an amplifier, and an audio analyzer from Agilent
    Technologies
--  Oscilloscopes from LeCroy and Yokogawa Electric Corporation
--  Power supplies from Rigol Technologies, Kikusui Electronics, and
    AMETEK Programmable Power
--  A function/arbitrary waveform generator from Thurlby Thandar
    Instruments
--  Switches from Pickering Interfaces Ltd.
--  A mezzanine carrier from Informtest Ltd.
--  Switches from Hitech Group International Ltd.
