LynuxWorks Vice President to Speak on Virtualization Panel at ESC Boston 2009

Expert Group to Discuss Virtualization Techniques, Suitability in Embedded Environments

BOSTON, MA--(Marketwire - September 21, 2009) - EMBEDDED SYSTEMS CONFERENCE 2009 -- LynuxWorks™, Inc., a world leader in embedded software, today announced its participation in a panel discussion on virtualization at the Embedded Systems Conference (ESC) in Boston on September 22.

The panel, titled The Truth About Virtualization, features Robert Day, vice president at LynuxWorks, who will offer insights and commentary about the process of virtualization in embedded environments. Additional panelists include Jerry Krasner, founder and principal analyst for Embedded Market Forecasters; Ron Parker, director of Intel Federal, Intel; and Sean McGaughey, senior technical manager, General Dynamics, Advanced Information Systems.

Presentation Abstract

The panel will explore different virtualization techniques and discuss the suitability for use in embedded systems. Is hardware assist a necessity for efficient virtualization? Is real-time performance and memory footprint compromised by using virtualization? Will the embedded world see the same uptake as in the IT space?
