Lyric Culture Selects Winner for "Music and Lyrics" Movie Contest

One Lucky Winner to Receive Vintage Gibson Guitar Autographed by the Film's Stars

LOS ANGELES, CA -- (MARKET WIRE) -- March 5, 2007 -- Lyric Culture (PINKSHEETS: LYJN), a music-driven premium apparel line, has randomly selected 25-year-old Marisha Rawel of Las Vegas, Nevada out of nearly 20,000 entries as the winner of the Warner Bros. Pictures "Music and Lyrics" movie contest. Marisha will receive a vintage style Gibson guitar autographed by Drew Barrymore and Hugh Grant in a presentation ceremony to be held at the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas. The Hard Rock retail store currently carries the limited edition Lyric Culture "Meaningless Kiss" tees inspired by original music from the film's soundtrack as well as other Lyric Culture product.

Warner Bros. tapped Lyric Culture for the national tie-in because the brand was created to celebrate the lyrics of the world's greatest songs. Lyric Culture has already acquired the rights to produce music-influenced apparel by such legendary artists as The Beatles, David Bowie, The Mamas & The Papas, Marvin Gaye, Fleetwood Mac and many others.

Inspired by original music from the romantic comedy "Music and Lyrics," Lyric Culture designed limited edition jeans and t-shirts available as prizes through dedicated radio promotions and also available for purchase at select retailers nationwide. "Meaningless Kiss," a song off the soundtrack for "Music and Lyrics," performed by Hugh Grant and produced by Adam Schlesinger from the chart-topping band Fountains of Wayne, was the point of inspiration for both items.

About "Music and Lyrics": Written and directed by Marc Lawrence ("Two Weeks Notice"), "Music and Lyrics" follows Alex Fletcher (HUGH GRANT), a washed-up 80s pop star who's been reduced to working the nostalgia circuit at county fairs and amusement parks. The charismatic and talented musician gets a chance at a comeback when reigning diva Cora Corman invites him to write and record a duet with her, but there's a problem -- Alex hasn't written a song in years, he's never written lyrics, and he has to come up with a hit in a matter of days. Enter Sophie Fisher (DREW BARRYMORE), Alex's beguilingly quirky plant lady, whose flair for words strikes a chord with the struggling songwriter. On the rebound from a bad relationship, Sophie is reluctant to collaborate with anyone, especially commitment-phobe Alex. As their chemistry heats up at the piano and under it, Alex and Sophie will have to face their fears -- and the music -- if they want to find the love and success they both deserve. "Music and Lyrics" will be released by Warner Bros. Pictures, a Warner Bros. Entertainment Company, and in select territories by Village Roadshow Pictures.
