MAC1 Industries Awarded $9 Million Contract for Mobile Communications Services and Equipment Including Special Solar and Batteries

NEW YORK, NY--(Marketwire - March 4, 2009) - MAC1 Industries, Inc. (PINKSHEETS: MIRA) announced that it has won a $9 million contract to provide mobile communications services and equipment to mobile video provider Skyline Telecom LLC. MAC1(MIRA) Industries is a leading developer and manufacturer of highly innovative solar technology and LED lighting solutions. MAC1 (MIRA) subsidiary Tycoon Industries, LLC is a worldwide provider of high-end cellular handsets and prepaid SIM cards that enable international calling without roaming charges. MAC1 (MIRA) will deliver leading edge solar cell phone batteries, handsets and GSM spectrum SIM cards to Skyline through 2010.

MAC1 Industries CEO Sam Abecassis commented: "We are thrilled that mobile content pioneer Skyline Telecom has chosen MAC1's proprietary solar battery technology and cellular equipment to meet the needs of its customers. This multi-million dollar contract signals significant company growth and market penetration for MAC1 (MIRA) as well as increased value for shareholders."

MAC1 (MIRA) generates revenue from three lines of business. The company is a leading designer, manufacturer and distributor of LED lighting with customers worldwide. LED lights are a green energy choice for businesses and homes as they use less electricity and produce less heat than incandescent lights, emit no infrared or ultraviolet radiation, and unlike fluorescent lights contain no mercury. The Energy Bill passed by the U.S. Congress in December requires the phase-out of incandescent light bulbs beginning in 2012.

MAC1 also designs and manufactures proprietary next generation thin film solar panels, batteries and equipment. Thin film solar panels in conjunction with LED streetlights are saving municipalities, corporations and larger businesses thousands of dollars in lighting expenses while reducing emissions. Solar photovoltaics (including modules, system components and installation) will grow from a $20.3 billion industry in 2007 to $74 billion by 2017, according to research firm Clean Edge in its "Clean-Energy Trends 2008" report.

MAC1's recent merger with established telco company Tycoon Industries has provided entre into the lucrative mobile communications market. Tycoon is a leading provider of prepaid SIM cards and cellular phones for worldwide business and leisure travelers in more than 200 countries, enabling cellular phone users to travel globally and connect locally. Tycoon's D&B credit rating of 1A3 evidences strong sales for 2008 and 2009. Tycoon is projecting 2009 revenues of $40 million from mobile VoIP and cellular handset sales.
