MachineTalker® Selects the New DataRemote Cellular Modem to Track and Control Wireless Sensors

Latest GSM/GPRS Modem Paves Way for New Generation of User-Friendly Applications

SANTA BARBARA, CA--(Marketwire - July 9, 2007) - MachineTalker, Inc. (OTCBB: MTKN), developer of smart wireless security networks and tracking systems, announces that the company will offer a cost competitive remote access GSM/GPRS cellular link to its Talkers® in the field. MachineTalker has chosen products from DataRemote, Inc. to reliably track location and to move information from Talker communities to places where the data can be used and acted upon.

The new DataRemote cellular modem with integrated GPS will connect into a wireless mesh network of Talkers that service environmental sensors or that monitor cargo in transit. The modem will provide an inexpensive link for remote access to Talkers that monitor security, that track cargo, or collect data or that audit energy usage.

While MachineTalker applications currently rely on the Internet or custom data uplinks provided by military and industrial networks, the DataRemote unit provides a commercial cellular link to Talkers with sensors located on trucks or within industrial operations, such as oil refineries and factories.

"We expect this new generation of cellular modem to accelerate implementation of our strategy for dynamic mapping, global location and access to crucial data held by the MachineTalkers. Whether for regulating environmental factors such as temperature or humidity or for increasingly important monitoring of electrical usage in homes and businesses, the addition of DataRemote's latest device opens a world of opportunity for MachineTalker. One of the first applications is remote interrogation of Talkers assigned to monitor sensors for long-term Condition-Based Maintenance," said Roland F. Bryan, MachineTalker's President and CEO.

Shawn Aleman, DataRemote's Vice President of Business Development, said, "Our highly reliable and efficient data transmission link, coupled with MachineTalker's advanced sensing capabilities, should bring about the development of whole new markets for sophisticated intelligent monitoring."
