Maco Ebenisterie Architecturale Inc. Receives $233,125 in Funding From Government of Canada for Foreign Market Expansion

MONTRÉAL, QUEBEC--(Marketwire - June 15, 2010) - The Honourable Denis Lebel, Minister of State for Canada Economic Development, announces the awarding of $233,125 in repayable funding to Maco Ébénisterie Architecturale Inc. through the Business and Regional Growth program for the development and implementation of commercialization plan for its products on the United States market. Completion of this project will necessitate an overall investment of $541,250 and result in the creation of three jobs.

"The Government of Canada is committed to helping enterprises develop new markets in order to create the jobs and business opportunities that are essential to our country's solid and sustainable economic recovery. Through foreign commercialization efforts, an innovative company such as Maco can better promote its know-how in a leading-edge sector, diversify its client base and become a leader in its industry," the Minister of State explained.

Maco Ébénisterie Architecturale Inc. custom manufactures furniture and does architectural cabinet work, primarily for the commercial sector. The firm intends to carry out various prospecting activities on the U.S. market, including participation in commercial trade fairs and visits to prospective customers. In pursuing this strategy, Maco expects to significantly increase its export sales.
