The new app, which is fully integrated with MacPractice MD, DDS, DC and 20/20 practice management software, automates patient check-in procedures and helps ensure HIPAA compliance.

Patient Check In streamlines the check-in process and helps doctors' offices achieve HIPAA compliance by replacing the manual sign-in sheet with a custom-designed iPad app. Patients enter their identifying information on the iPad, which automatically records their arrival time and updates their appointment status in the practice management system, alerting clinicians to the patient's arrival.
With the MacPractice Patient Check In App for iPad, private patient information is no longer publicly displayed, which facilitates HIPAA compliance.
