MacTarnahan's Brewing Introduces Lip Stinger™ Farmhouse Ale

New Unique Limited Release Beer Brewed With Peppercorns Available Through Fall

PORTLAND, OR--(Marketwire - August 3, 2009) - MacTarnahan's Brewing Co, brewers of award winning MacTarnahan's Amber Ale, (2008 World Beer Cup Gold Medal) introduces Lip Stinger™ Farmhouse Ale with peppercorn to complement a growing portfolio of distinct, bold, and original offerings.

This is the first release in a series of specialty 22oz only offerings form MacTarnahan's and the plan is to produce only 3000 cases. With Lip Stinger we're offering a unique interpretation of Farmhouse Ale that combines the use of three malts and two hop varieties with a Malaysian and Indian 4 peppercorn blend that will deliver a flavor sensation that is endlessly interesting. Lip Stinger is an effervescent and rustic farmhouse ale that brewers add a cracked peppercorn blend during fermentation to introduce a spicy nose and warming mouth feel. In the tradition of Belgian and French farmhouse styles, Lip Stinger is brewed to be a refreshing easy drinking beer to be enjoyed during the warmer months as a reward for a hard days work. Lip Stinger will be served August through October. Lip Stinger will be available in 22oz bottles only, except for being featured on draft at the brewery's own alehouses in Portland, Seattle, Berkeley, Walnut Creek and Sacramento.
