Macusani Yellowcake Continues to Intersect Large Widths of Uranium at Its Colibri II Property at Macusani, Peru

TORONTO, ONTARIO--(Marketwire - Feb. 19, 2008) - Peter Hooper, President of Macusani Yellowcake Inc. (TSX VENTURE:YEL) stated: "These results continue to confirm our model of a very large horizontal bedded structure containing substantial amounts of uranium. Every hole indicates large widths of uranium bearing rock at or close to surface. Our deepest hole is 72 metres in depth. Our drill program has been accelerated with the arrival of the second drill. The first drill will step out to the West to increase the strike length, it will move in step-outs of 400 metres. The second drill will infill the known results and will allow us to plan to present a resource statement within 6 months. Our current 20,000 meter program of 300 sixty-five meter holes is to test our initial 4 kilometer target zone defined by very high ground radiometric results." The drill plan showing drill platform locations and coordinates is shown on page 10 of our corporate PowerPoint presentation on the Macusani website.

Macusani announces assay results from the ongoing drilling program at its Colibri II uranium property on the Macusani Plateau in southeastern Peru. These holes were drilled from the two drill collars which have been designated as Platform 3 ("P03") and Platform 4 ("P04"). At each Platform, typically one hole is drilled vertically and the other four holes are drilled with azimuths in approximately the four compass directions (north, south, east and west) at dips of approximately minus 45 degree angles.

As with the previous intercepts (see previous press releases dated November 12, 2007 and December 14 2007) each hole intersected multiple horizontally-oriented uraniferous zones at depths starting at surface down to a depth to as deep as 62.00 m. The uranium minerals are hosted in acidic volcanic rocks of rhyolite composition that cover larger areas of the Macusani Plateau in "blanket like" formations from surface to a depth of about 100 m.

The assay results from our next four holes are shown in the table below. (Note: The interval lengths are measured along the core length and may not represent true widths.)

Quality Control

The Company employs a QA/QC protocol on all aspects of its analytical procedures. Whole core samples are sent to SGS Laboratories Peru in Lima, Peru. Samples are taken in intervals depending on the geological boundaries and type of mineralization (veins, veinlets, stockwork, dissemination, non-mineralised) but usually not more than 1m sample. At SGS in Lima the core samples are crushed, pulverised, homogenised and a 250g riffled representative sample analysed for Uranium using ICP-MS techniques on a suite of 50 chemical elements.

Two blank sample and two standards covering a range of grades are inserted every 50th sample. The pulps are stored at present at SGS in Lima.

Mr.Ian Foreman P.Geo., of Foremost Geological Consulting, is the Qualified Person, as defined under National Instrument 43-101, for the Colibri Property and has reviewed the technical information used in the preparation for this release. All aspects of the exploration program, are supervised by Dr.Laurence Stefan, Ph.D.(Economic Geology), a Director of Macusani, who is responsible for all scientific and technical information.
