TORONTO, ONTARIO--(Marketwire - Aug. 15, 2008) - Macusani Yellowcake Inc. (TSX VENTURE:YEL) -

Peter Hooper, President of Macusani stated: "These results continue to confirm our model of a very large horizontal bedded structure containing substantial amounts of uranium. We are now drilling our 73(rd) hole and to date every hole is mineralized."

Macusani Yellowcake Inc. ("Macusani") is pleased to announce assay results from the ongoing drilling program at its Colibri II uranium property on the Macusani Plateau in southeastern Peru. These holes were drilled from three drill collars which have been designated as Platform 8 ("P08"), Platform 17(P17) and Platform 19(P19).

As with the previous intercepts each hole intersected multiple horizontally-oriented uraniferous zones at depths starting at surface down to 62.00 m. The uranium minerals are hosted in acidic volcanic rocks of rhyolite composition that cover large portions of the Macusani Plateau in "blanket like" formations from surface to a depth of approximately 100 m.

Quality Control

The Company employs a QA/QC protocol on all aspects of its analytical procedures. Whole core samples are sent to SGS Laboratories Peru in Lima, Peru. Samples are taken in intervals depending on the geological boundaries and type of mineralization (veins, veinlets, stockwork, dissemination, non mineralized) b u t usually not more than 1m per sample. Core samples are initially shipped to sample preparation laboratories in Juliaca, 800 km southeast of Lima. Following the preparation stage, the sample pulps are sent to analytical laboratories in Lima. CIMM Peru and SGS are ISO certified assay laboratories. The sampling program is designed to include an assay quality control routine comprising the systematic run of standards, blanks and duplicate samples.

The pulps are stored at present in Lima.

Mr. Ian Foreman P.Geo., of Foremost Geological Consulting, is the Qualified Person, as defined under National Instrument 43-101, for the Colibri Property and has reviewed the technical information used in the preparation for this release. All aspects of the exploration program, are supervised by Dr. Laurence Stefan, Ph.D. (Economic Geology), a Director of Macusani, who is responsible for all scientific and technical information.
