MADD Canada: Working to End Impaired Driving, One Stride at a Time

OAKVILLE, ON--(Marketwired - June 02, 2016) - Greater Toronto Area residents are invited to lace up their running shoes and join the fight to end impaired driving at the 4th annual MADD Canada PIA Law Strides for Change (GTA) event on Sunday, June 5 at J.C. Saddington Park in Mississauga, Ontario.

This fun, family-oriented event features a 1 or 5 km walk and a 5 km run, along with food and beverages, prizes, raffle draws, a balloon pop, live and silent auctions and much more.

Impaired driving continues to be a deadly problem on Canadian roads. Every year, more than 1,000 people are killed in impaired driving crashes. MADD Canada, in partnership with our title sponsor, PIA Law, and our other sponsors and supporters, is working to end this preventable crime.

You can help. Visit to register for the event. Encourage your family, friends and co-workers to sign up too and field your own Strides for Change team. All funds raised will help MADD Canada stop impaired driving and support victims of this violent crime.

Registration is limited so sign up today at and start raising pledges. Pre-event registration is $40 per person, and event-day registration is $45. Everyone pre-registered for the event will receive a gift bag and fashionable race shirt.

Media are invited to come out to the event and help us make Strides for Change!
