Maestro Helps Set New Fundraising Record for American Airlines Sky Ball XIII

BELLEVUE, WA--(Marketwired - Feb 2, 2016) - MaestroSoft, the premier provider of charity fundraising solutions utilized by major organizations such as the Muscular Dystrophy Association, today announced that their Text2Bid system played a vital role in helping American Airlines, in support of the Airpower Foundation, hold its most successful Sky Ball event ever, setting a new fundraising record of 2.2 million dollars. The donations will provide much needed support to our nation's military, veterans and their families. Text2Bid allowed the more than 8,000 attendees to participate in the silent auction over two days without having to use traditional paper bid forms.

The event provided MaestroSoft an opportunity to work together with American Airlines and co-sponsors Microsoft, Budweiser®, Bell Helicopter, PSAV®, Barclaycard and others to eliminate the need for guests to pre-register and check-in for the auction. After sending a short text to register their phone, guests could view and bid on the complete catalog of items, receive notifications when outbid, add items to "watch lists" and even make cash donations.

All successful bidders received a text link to pay and completed payments using their phones. Since the event was broadcast to all military installations worldwide, one of the premier items was sold to a winning bidder in Colorado who didn't even attend the event.
