MaggieMoo's Ice Cream and Treatery Mooves Into Denver

Super-Premium Ice Cream Brand Eyes Denver as Next Expansion Area

DENVER, CO -- (MARKET WIRE) -- March 15, 2006 --Armed with a seven-foot spokes-cow named Maggie and such tantalizing flavors as Better Batter and Dark Chocolate, MaggieMoo's International is embarking on a major expansion in the Denver region, with more than 20 Treateries planned for the area within the next five years.

A seminar on April 5 will unveil the roadmap for expansion and be targeted to potential new franchises in Denver seeking a fresh concept. The seminar will be held at the Hyatt DTC from 7-9 p.m. The MaggieMoo's corporate support team of CEO Jon Jameson, Senior Vice President of Brand Marketing Debbie Benedek, Senior Vice President and General Counsel Andrew Friedman, Senior Vice President/Chief Financial Officer Jerry Armacost and Franchise Business Consultant Greg Vojnovic, will be on hand to describe the business opportunity, along with Sharon Adams, newly named Denver Master Developer. Adams will lead the expansion effort from Denver.

The MaggieMoo's brand is on the rise, with more than 180 stores -- and counting -- in 41 states, including four stores in Colorado -- one in Aspen, two in Colorado Springs, and one in Centennial near the Park Meadows Mall.

According to Jameson, MaggieMoo's chose to focus its newest expansion efforts in Denver because of the favorable demographics, strong population growth, emerging real estate market, and 300-plus days of sunshine.

MaggieMoo's and Adams have assembled a local team to help in site selection, store construction, training, marketing and financing. "In the ice cream business you need more than just the best product. You also need great locations and friendly folks to create the MaggieMoo's experience," said Jameson. "I am confident Master Developer Sharon Adams and her enthusiastic team will do just that."

Launched in 2005, MaggieMoo's Master Developer program was put into practice to expedite expansion in targeted markets. Denver is only the second U.S. territory chosen for the Master Developer program. Master Developers are local MaggieMoo's strategic partners who help identify qualified franchisees and assist them in the process of opening and managing a MaggieMoo's Treatery to deliver a memorable guest experience. Adams has been employed as a marketing and sales executive in various industries.

"I have looked at the other ice cream franchise opportunities and tried their products, and I believe MaggieMoo's, is the best ice cream franchise opportunity available," said Adams. "The April 5 seminar is for anyone interested in developing a successful ice cream franchise to come out and learn more about MaggieMoo's opportunities and meet the best in the industry -- not to mention sample the incredible product. If you like to lick the bowl when making a cake, you will love the Better Batter flavor, it's what sold me on MaggieMoo's."

MaggieMoo's super-premium ice cream is freshly made each day in every store. With innovative flavors, such as Cotton Candy and Crème Brulee, and a wide variety of fresh and tasty mix-ins, customers can customize their cones, cakes, smoothies, shakes and malts. Adding to its award-winning ice creams and delectable desserts, MaggieMoo's recently launched ice cream cupcakes -- a first in the ice cream industry.

According to Adams, she already has received numerous inquiries about purchasing a MaggieMoo's franchise. "Experience is not mandatory, just a passion to operate fun and successful Treateries. We only have so many stores we are going to open in Colorado, so this is an opportunity to get in on the ground floor," said Adams.

MaggieMoo's International has set a goal of having 1,000 ice cream Treateries by 2010. "We believe we can achieve this growth and are actively seeking quality franchisees to join our family," Jameson said. "We predict that the Mile High City will become one of our strongest areas."
