Mahindra GenZe Exhibits Stylish New Battery-Powered Two-Wheeler for Urban Commuters and College Students at TiEcon

GenZe Provides Sustainable Transportation, Mobile Connectivity and All the Storage Space People Need in a Single Affordable Vehicle

SANTA CLARA, CA--(Marketwired - May 16, 2014) - Mahindra GenZe, creator of a new generation of sustainable transportation solutions, previewed its breakthrough battery-powered two-wheeler, the GenZe, at TiEcon today. Scheduled to reach consumers later this year, the GenZe is a stylish new crossover vehicle aimed at urban commuters and college students that is part pick-up truck, part two wheeler, and part mobile connectivity device.

A Silicon Valley start-up and part of the globally expanding, US$ 16.7 billion Mahindra Group, Mahindra GenZe is opening the first GenZe customer experience center in Palo Alto, Calif., in June. The GenZe will be sold directly through an eCommerce web site that will go live next month, with the first vehicles rolling off the Mahindra GenZe assembly line in Ann Arbor, Mich., during the fourth quarter of this year.

The GenZe design is based on extensive research into the needs and attitudes of Millennial consumers who want an easy, fun and affordable way to get around without the challenges associated with urban pollution, traffic congestion and parking, or the shortcomings of public transit systems. 

The vehicle's removable battery is quick and easy to re-charge from any standard electrical outlet. It comes with useful new features including extra-large storage space, dual seat positioning which offers a unique upright stance to allow riders to see over traffic, and to charge digital devices on the go. 

It also comes with a large touch-screen display that can be connected to a smartphone for easy access to all of your mobile apps and has a range of 30 miles, depending on riding habits, with a top speed of 30 mph. There is no need for a motorcycle license to own and operate a GenZe in most states.

Mahindra GenZe is exhibiting the GenZe electric two wheeler and is offering customers the opportunity to be the first ever to own a GenZe through a TiECon raffle. Attendees can experience the GenZe at Booth #230 and learn about how riding will once again become a fun and no-hassles experience.
