Mainframe Entertainment Announces Slate Of All-New Animated Productions

VANCOUVER, BRITISH COLUMBIA--(CCNMatthews - July 28, 2005) -

Studio's Second "Scary Godmother" Special To Air On Cartoon Network This Halloween

Mainframe Entertainment, Inc. ("Mainframe") (TSX:MFE), Canada's leading computer generated (CG) animation production company, has announced it has completed production on a second season of the hit TV show "Zixx," and an all new special from the studios' "Scary Godmother" franchise, "Scary Godmother 2: The Revenge of Jimmy," which follows up the studios' hit award-winning special "Scary Godmother's Halloween Spooktakular." "Scary Godmother 2" will air on Cartoon Network this Halloween. In addition, Mainframe has commenced production on a long-awaited animated film featuring skateboarding legend Tony Hawk.

"The hard work and dedication that our talented creative teams have put into these projects will be reflected in their high-quality animation and storylines," said Rick Mischel, C.E.O., Mainframe. "The first Scary Godmother special was one of Cartoon Network's highest-rated specials last holiday season, and we're looking forward to this new special marking Scary Godmother as a Halloween tradition."

Based on the popular comics and children's books by the award-winning artist and writer Jill Thompson, Mainframe's "Scary Godmother" specials are whimsical animated adventures featuring a cast of colorful and unusual characters. The stories follow a group of misfit kids, the helpful "Scary Godmother", and her quirky monster friends. Thompson herself has served on the specials as Art Director, working with the creative teams to stay true to the original illustrations and stories.

Mainframe has also completed 13 episodes of the popular TV series, "ZIXX," a live action and game animation combination kids sci-fi series chronicling the adventures of an unlikely team of heroes who join forces in a quest to save the universe from evil. The first series of "Zixx" episodes, "Zixx Level 1" attracted strong ratings for YTV in Canada, and this new season, "Zixx Level 2," is highly anticipated by the shows legions of fans. Mainframe has created the animation for the new season, and will also co-distribute seasons 1 and 2 with Thunderbird Films, Inc. "Zixx" was developed by Alex Raffe of Savi Media and Debbie Nightingale of The Nightingale Company, in association with YTV.

The new Tony Hawk animated movie will feature extreme skateboarding tricks, fast paced action, ultra-realistic CG animation and, of course, legendary skateboarder Tony Hawk, whose actual skateboarding was motion captured by Mainframe for the film. It will tell the story of an evil and devious circus owner who plots to ruin Tony Hawk's "Boom Boom HuckJam" show by kidnapping Tony. Tony's fans witness the abduction but can't convince the authorities that a crime has occurred. With nowhere to turn for help, it's up to Tony's loyal fans to rescue their hero. With the tremendous popularity of Tony Hawk, this new production is sure to have worldwide appeal. Funimation Productions will release "Tony Hawk in Boom Boom Sabotage" in the U.S. in the fall of 2006. International sales will commence at MIP Jr. this fall.

Additionally, Mainframe is working on several new high-profile projects, including a new series of "Hot Wheels" adventures for Mattel, currently airing on Cartoon Network, and the recently announced co-production for a CG animated feature based on Marc Brown's popular "Arthur" children's property. Mainframe will launch sales of the new "Arthur" CG Animated feature at MIP Jr. this fall through IDT Entertainment Sales.

Mainframe also has its own motion capture facility, and has created high-end animation for games, including recently-completed motion-capture work on Radical Entertainment's "Scarface" and a number of Next Level's sports games. "We like to say here at Mainframe that we don't make games," noted Mischel, "we make games better!"
