MaintenanceNet, Inc. Expands EMEA Presence to Respond to Growing Demand for Service Contract Management Across the Technology Supply Chain

Appoints New EMEA Business Manager to Broaden Reach of MaintenanceNet Service360 Platform

CARLSBAD, CA--(Marketwire - June 24, 2009) - Responding to rising demand in Europe, the Middle East and Africa (EMEA), MaintenanceNet, Inc., the leading provider of extended warranty and maintenance contract management services, today announced it has expanded operations across the region while adding a new EMEA business manager.

MaintenanceNet serves the largest electronics and technology manufacturers in the world, including Fortune 100 and Fortune Global 500 organizations. According to Scott Herron, CEO of MaintenanceNet, as these organizations break into emerging markets in EMEA, they are requiring their sales organizations to place a stronger emphasis on services. "Services represent an important renewable revenue stream that can add substantially to an organization's bottom line," he said. "Yet many vendors neglect their services businesses because of the management complexities involved. In EMEA, more and more vendors and their channel partners are recognizing the value of service sales, and they're turning to MaintenanceNet to maximize their efforts."

MaintenanceNet manages more than US$10 billion in maintenance contracts through Service360™, its comprehensive, software-as-a-service (SaaS) platform. Through its "register, renew, refresh" approach to service contract lifecycle management, Service360 makes it easier for manufacturers and their channel partners to strengthen product and service registration practices, sell and renew more service contracts, enhance technology refresh sales, and identify unattached assets (products sold without service agreements).

Joining MaintenanceNet as EMEA business manager effective immediately is Andrew Bray. In this new position, Bray holds responsibility for EMEA business operations as well as managing existing relationships with MaintenanceNet customers including technology vendors, distributors and solution providers. Bray comes to MaintenanceNet from Cisco Systems, where he served as an EMEA business operations manager. In addition, his extensive career has included work with Ericsson, MCI Worldcom and other leading organizations.

"Many of our customers in Europe have already worked with Andrew. He joins our team not only with hands on experience with our technology platform, but also a working relationship with our staff and partners," said Herron. "Andrew is an excellent addition to our management staff and the ideal choice for growing our business in the region."
