MaintenanceNet to Partner With SYNNEX Corporation to Increase Service Sales for HP Products Through New Reseller Portal

MaintenanceNet's Powerful Data Mining and Aggregation Capabilities Drive Increases in Overall Service Opportunities; Provide Platform for Dramatic Boost in Services Revenues

CARLSBAD, CA -- (MARKET WIRE) -- July 24, 2006 -- MaintenanceNet, Inc., a leading provider of maintenance contract management services, today announced that it has partnered with SYNNEX Corporation (NYSE: SNX), a global IT supply chain services company, to provide a web-based reseller portal to drive increases in service revenue opportunities associated with products from HP, a key SYNNEX partner.

SYNNEX resellers and sales representatives can take advantage of the portal, which was launched this month, to track expiring service contracts and identify new service sales prospects. In developing the portal, MaintenanceNet first performed extensive data mining and aggregation to optimize the quality of the HP end-customer data for SYNNEX.

According to Michael Cook, Director of Product Management for SYNNEX Corporation, the portal is already benefiting SYNNEX channel partners and sales representatives.

"MaintenanceNet is playing a vital role in our campaign to significantly increase service contract renewal rates with HP customers," Cook said. "To that end, we're pleased with the launch of the new portal and the high quality of end-customer data that MaintenanceNet has delivered to our program."

MaintenanceNet removes the data bottlenecks traditionally associated with achieving the high quality, end-customer data required for managing an effective maintenance or service contract program. With unique capabilities for quickly aggregating data from multiple sources, MaintenanceNet provides its customers with a single, web-based portal for presenting detailed customer registration and renewal data, as well as uncovered asset (assets sold without a maintenance contract) opportunities. Through the use of MaintenanceNet technology, vendors can empower their channel partners, sales representatives and employees to realize faster, more efficient service sales while also generating new revenue streams.

SYNNEX established a full-service customer care team in-house to work with the MaintenanceNet portal to identify and assist HP customers in the renewal process for HP-Day 1 or Care Packs opportunities.

"It's gratifying to know that MaintenanceNet is already having a powerful impact on SYNNEX' service contract business for HP," said Scott Herron, CEO for MaintenanceNet. "By aligning with us, SYNNEX has demonstrated its commitment to HP as well as its interest in giving channel partners the ability to benefit from the sales opportunities presented to them through the MaintenanceNet portal."

According to a study by IDC, up to 30 percent of products are unregistered. With MaintenanceNet, manufacturers can achieve registration rates of 90 percent or higher as well as significant data quality improvements, resulting in substantial sales increases.
