Majescor Starts Core Drilling Program at its Besakoa Gold-Silver-Copper-Zinc Prospect in Madagascar

MONTREAL, QUEBEC--(CCNMatthews - Dec. 13, 2006) - Majescor Resources Inc. ("Majescor") (TSX VENTURE:MAJ) is pleased to report that it has commenced a 500-meter core drilling program on its Besakoa gold and base metal prospect, located in southern Madagascar.

The drill program is designed to confirm the presence of the main Besakoa prospect sulphide lense, as well as to test the disseminated sulphide halo and overlying surface oxide zone which have never been fully tested for gold and base metals. Surface and trench sampling at the main Besakoa polymetallic prospect by Majescor in September (see October 19, 2006 Press Release) returned anomalous gold, silver, copper and zinc values over a minimum 700m strike length, including grades in oxidized material of up to 17.5 g/t gold, 47 g/t silver, 30% copper and 3% zinc.

Historical exploration drilling data obtained from the French Bureau de Recherches Geologiques et Minieres ("BRGM") in November show that the disseminated sulphide halo is also mineralized in gold, silver, copper, and zinc.

This first drill program at Besakoa is utilizing a HQ-diameter drill rig and is expected to be completed in less than 1 month. All samples will be submitted to ALS-Chemex laboratories in Johannesburg, South Africa for base and precious metals analysis. The drill program results will be available in early 2007.

The Besakoa prospect and property have geological similarities to the Bisha polymetallic, volcanogenic massive sulphide ("VMS") deposit and to nearby deposits recently discovered in Eritrea by Nevsun Resources Ltd. In addition to the main sulphide prospect, the Besakoa property has numerous gossan occurrences which have not been properly evaluated in this context. The property was last explored over 40 years ago. A map showing the location of the Besakoa prospect is available on the Company's Website at: .

This press release was approved by Dr. C. Tucker Barrie, P. Geo., Principal Consultant to Majescor for its Madagascar gold and base metal projects, acting as the "Qualified Person" for the Company under National Instrument 43-101.
