That experience would come in 2010 working for Sears Holdings in Racine, WI in the appliance department where he would go on to become the director of extended warranties. After excelling in that department he gained more management experience by also becoming director of electronic consumer interface. That position allowed him to train dozens of employees in various areas of electronics sharpening his management skills.

Johnson left after two years to pursue his degree at UW Milwaukee in business information technology as well as dual studies in international sports management where he completed senior level account management training. Six months later he started working at Shields Concepts Kenosha, WI, in the management-training program, and was later introduced to Leigh Jackson who would help him start his own branch.
