Major Sponsorship Renewal With Ontario Ministry of Training, Colleges and Universities

TORONTO, ONTARIO--(Marketwire - Feb. 28, 2008) - The National Job Fair & Training Expo is proud to announce the Ontario Government joins as major sponsor for the spring 2008 edition, scheduled for April 8 and 9, at the Metro Toronto Convention Centre (North Building, Hall C). The Ontario Government will promote the different ways students and job seekers can access employment, training and apprenticeship programs. The Ontario Government will exhibit in the Training & Education Pavilion at booths #623, #625, #722 and #724.

"The Government of Ontario plays a key role in The National Job Fair & Training Expo, and their continued participation and support are an important part of our success", says President and Founder Daniel Levesque. "The renewal of the major sponsorship with the Ontario Ministry of Training, Colleges and Universities is a significant asset to our event. Attendees will benefit from the Ministry's participation, offering the opportunity for direct and easy access to the services they will promote onsite," adds Levesque.

The National Job Fair and Training Expo was made possible by a grant from the Ministry of Training, Colleges and Universities. The involvement of the Ontario government, the commitment of sponsors and partners, the continued participation of exhibitors and their growing numbers are the best indicators of the role The National Job Fair & Training Expo plays in today's Ontario employment market.

For this 12th edition, organizers are expecting over 150 exhibitors and 8,000 to 10,000 highly-motivated and experienced candidates - the highest attendance in Ontario - from the Greater Toronto Area and its outlying regions. As of today, no less than 126 booths are reserved, en route to an anticipated record-breaker for the spring fair. With six weeks remaining before the fair, some 25 additional exhibitors (regular, past and new exhibitors) are expected to sign up. In addition, over 50 additional organizations are currently considering participating.

Founded in Toronto in 2002, The National Job Fair & Training Expo is a recruitment event presented to serve the employment needs of communities from the Greater Toronto Area and its outlying regions. The fair consists of four main pavilions: The Employment Pavilion, the Training & Education Pavilion, the Career Services Pavilion and the Entrepreneurship Pavilion. It is completed with several interactive activities supporting the career development of all attendees, such as the free Professional Resume Assessment Centre, the Posting Zone and the public presentations.

The National Job Fair & Training Expo's mission is to play a major role in the Ontario recruitment marketplace (job, training, education and career) by presenting an event twice a year, in spring and fall, that stimulates employment in a dynamic and proactive environment for a vibrant audience of highly-motivated and experienced candidates. The National Job Fair & Training Expo's target exhibitors are organizations from Ontario as well as across Canada and target visitors are candidates from the Greater Toronto Area as well as from across Ontario. As the event adapts to the changing conditions of the job market, it recognizes and explores all facets of the job-search process and career development. The key words of the fair are opportunity, synergy and networking.
