Make-A-Wish® Canada Launches 2014 Season of Wishes® Campaign

TORONTO, ON--(Marketwired - December 02, 2014) - Make-A-Wish® Canada asks Canadians to give the gift of joy this holiday season, during its annual Season of Wishes® campaign.

This year, close to 500 magical, life-affirming wishes will be granted to children with life-threatening medical conditions from coast to coast. Season of Wishes celebrates the bravery of these courageous wish kids and their families. It's a time for colleagues, friends and family to rally together and give, so that the one true wish of every eligible child can come true.

There are several ways to donate during the campaign and help kids like five-year-old Maya, who suffers from leukemia and wished to be a ballerina, receive their wish. Click here to watch Maya's wish video.

Ways to support local wish-granting efforts during Season of Wishes:

1. Shop for Wishes - Help Make-A-Wish® and check those names off your shopping list at the same time by purchasing holiday gifts for loved ones from participating retailers, including:

  • LS travel retail

  • Kernels
  • Things Remembered

A maximum of $15,000 will be donated.
