Make-A-Wish(R) Rope for Hope Welcomes Canadian Western Bank as National Presenting Sponsor

TORONTO, ON--(Marketwired - February 20, 2015) - Make-A-Wish® Canada is excited to announce a new, three-year national partnership with Canadian Western Bank (CWB). Beginning this year, CWB will be the official presenting sponsor of Make-A-Wish^® Rope for Hope, the wish-granting organization's national signature fundraising event.

Rope for Hope is an exhilarating event where individuals raise a minimum of $1,500 for local wish-granting efforts in exchange for the thrilling opportunity to rappel down a city skyscraper. Rope for Hope rappelling events are scheduled to take place from May through July 2015 in eight Canadian cities, including: Montreal, Vancouver, Ottawa, Toronto, Halifax, London, Calgary and Edmonton. The events are open to the general public. Those interested are encouraged to sign up at www.ropeforhope.ca. Space is limited and offered on a first-come, first-served basis.

Make-A-Wish Canada hopes to raise $1.2 million this year through Rope for Hope events, adding to the approximately $1.4 million that has been raised since its launch in 2012.

There are a variety of ways to participate: as an individual, in a team, as part of a 'toss your boss' group, or by sponsoring another participant or the event.
