Maksym Nkube of Fast Track Acquisitions on His Origins

LONDON, UNITED KINGDOM--(Marketwire - Jan. 7, 2011) - Maksym Nkube of Fast Track Acquisitions is from the Ukraine yet already he has lived in South Africa, Germany and France before finally settling in the UK. His nomadic life has been reflected in his working life, where he initially struggled to hold down a permanent job.

"When I came to London I didn't really know what I wanted to do. I spent a year working in Hospitality at Kingston University, which inspired me to go into higher education."

Maksym knew that he wanted more from life and thought a degree would provide him with opportunities so he studied the creative side of Advertising and Brand Management but, after 3 years of studying the subject, he actually lost all interest in it and the industry as a whole. When Maksym left University he became a DJ and though as far away from Fast Track Acquisitions as is possibly imaginable, it provided him with a clue to his future direction.

"It was the sense of control that the job gave me that was really appealing. I was my own boss."

Unfortunately the financial rewards were small and there was no guarantee of career progression, so he moved in to the restaurant and bar trade where he encountered similar problems.

"A management position became available at one of the cafés but instead of hiring me they brought in a manager from outside. I realised there seemed to be no rewards for hard work."

This contrasted starkly with the outsourcing industry where Maksym was really excited by the management training program. He claims that it "wasn't the knocking on doors stage that got me excited; it was speaking to people who were already managers"- Maksym felt they were similar characters with similar backgrounds to himself and felt that "if they could do it, so could I."

Maksym Nkube knew the entry level selling was going to be difficult and he wasn't disappointed but he believes it was the making of him and paved the way for Fast Track Acquisitions.

"Knowing what I know now, I would go back and do 3 years of the entry-level stage if it meant that I would get to where I am now, the rewards are so great."

Maksym has come a long way from his childhood home in the Ukraine to the heights of his company Fast Track Acquisitions but he is sure that his upbringing has prepared him well for a career in the Outsourcing Sales industry.

"My mother is from the Ukraine where there is no such thing as a state pension, people work until they drop dead. I have never been afraid of hard work and I think that is important in this industry."
