LONDON, ENGLAND--(Marketwire - July 19, 2012) - Nintendo is today announcing the first ever UK showing of Pokémon Conquest at Manchester Comic Con MCM Expo. Nintendo 3DS fans will be treated to an exclusive preview of the title on the new Nintendo 3DS XL ahead of the console's launch on 28 July.
Pokémon Conquest, available on the Nintendo DS family of systems on 27th July, offers a creative new way to play Pokémon in a unique, adventure-filled world called Ransei. MCM Expo visitors will be kept on their toes in the turn-based skirmishes, in which players choose different tactics for intense six-on-six battles and battle conditions can change on every turn.
Event-goers will also get the chance to try out a host of other exciting new titles on the upcoming Nintendo 3DS XL console, including New Super Mario Bros. 2, a side-scrolling adventure game featuring Mario, Luigi and lots of other favourite characters from the Mario universe. With every level filled with coin-collecting opportunities, the Mushroom Kingdom is bursting with adventure.
To celebrate the upcoming launch of the Nintendo 3DS XL system, fans keen to add to their Mii collection are encouraged to bring their Nintendo 3DS consoles with them and take part in an exclusive XL Mii Hunt around the venue. 5 Mii characters with XL features will be hidden in secret locations and all those who collect a full set will win a special Super Mario 3D Land lanyard prize. Get hunting!
Anyone keen to try out Nintendo 3DS XL will also be able to trial a selection of the latest releases to experience the stunning 3D experience first-hand - just ask on the stand! Nintendo 3DS XL has the biggest screen to feature on a Nintendo handheld console to date, 90% larger than the screen on the original console.
In addition, Nintendo will be hosting a swap shop and battle table for the Kid Icarus: Uprising collectible AR Idol Cards, which visitors will also be able to win at Manchester MCM Expo.
