CHICAGO, IL--(Marketwired - Dec 22, 2014) - The Warranty Group, a leading global provider of warranty solutions and underwriting services, is proud to announce the addition of Manfred Schmoelz to the corporate executive leadership team. Mr. Schmoelz joins The Warranty Group as executive vice president of its Asia Pacific region. In this role, he will be responsible for managing overall business growth, client relationships and new business development for the company's business activities in Australia, China, India, Japan, Korea, and New Zealand.

Mr. Schmoelz brings more than 20 years' experience to his new role. His early career was spent in Munich, Germany as a relationship manager with Deutsche Bank. He then transferred his skills to Deutsche Bank in Asia where he managed most aspects of the banking experience, including a mixture of regional and country-level responsibilities, management of large sales organizations, regulatory affairs, and P&L responsibility. In 2011, Mr. Schmoelz left Deutsche Bank to serve as managing director and head of transaction services and global network banking in the Asia Pacific region for the Royal Bank of Scotland.
Overall, Mr. Schmoelz has extensive experience throughout the region having conducted business across Asia Pacific, particularly in China, India, Singapore, and Thailand. He begins his tenure with The Warranty Group effective today and will be based in the company's regional office located in Singapore.
