Manfrotto School of Xcellence Hosts Unique Opportunity to Meet Five Top Photographers at Photokina 2010

Special Showcase Allows Participants to See Techniques First-Hand and Get Feedback From Leading Photography Professionals

RAMSEY, NJ--(Marketwire - September 13, 2010) -  Manfrotto School of Xcellence, a free resource for anyone who wants to learn more about photography, will host a unique showcase of photographic talent at Photokina 2010 in Cologne, Germany. From September 21 - 26, 2010, Photokina attendees will have the opportunity to meet and interact with leading professional photographers, Bill Frakes, Joe McNally, Robert Bigano, Uwe Statz, and Drew Gardner, at the Manfrotto School of Xcellence Theatre in Hall 5.1. 

Bill Frakes (www.billfrakes.com, www.strawhatvisuals.com) is a renowned Sports Illustrated staff photographer who has worked with an array of high-profile advertising and editorial clients in over 100 countries. Joe McNally (www.joemcnally.com) is a best-selling author and internationally acclaimed photographer whose work includes shooting for TIME, Newsweek, Fortune, and National Geographic. Both Frakes and McNally will offer hour-long tutorial presentations at the show. The presentations will cover a variety of topics including lighting elements, digital storytelling through HD video and audio, flash size, sports photography techniques, strategies and solutions for location-based shooting and a look at how DSLR cameras are producing high-end imagery for brands of all sizes.

In addition to the Manfrotto School of Xcellence Theatre, Frakes and McNally will offer portfolio reviews at the Manfrotto School of Xcellence Booth. These reviews will provide aspiring photographers with a rare opportunity to have an acclaimed photographer review their work and provide feedback and advice. Frakes and McNally will conduct their reviews in the morning throughout the show, while renowned photographers Robert Bigano (www.bigano.com) of Italy, Uwe Statz (www.panoramafotografie-statz.de) of Germany and Drew Gardner (www.drew.it) of the United Kingdom will provide critiques in the afternoon.
