Manhattan Center's Hammerstein Ballroom to Host Moscow Ballet's Great Russian Nutcracker on November 30 at 4:00 pm & 8:00 pm

First Manhattan Appearance in 20 Years of Touring North America

NEW YORK, NY--(Marketwired - November 25, 2013) - New York City audiences are invited to partake in a glorious holiday tradition when Moscow Ballet's Great Russian Nutcracker comes to Manhattan Center's Hammerstein Ballroom, located at 311 West 34th Street between Eighth and Ninth Avenues, on Saturday, November 30 at 4:00 p.m. and again at 8:00 p.m.

In Manhattan for the first time in 20 years of touring North America, the company of 40, comprised of award-winning principals and corps de ballet, perform Olympic-worthy leaps, lifts and pirouettes in the classic holiday ballet. To the delight of audiences of all ages, the Russian artists bring charm, athletic prowess and Russian flair to Tchaikovsky's complete and timeless score. The 2013 production includes 200 all-new, hand-embellished costumes designed by Shakespearean expert Arthur Oliver and created in St. Petersburg, Russia's oldest theatrical costume shop.
