Manhattan Center's Hammerstein Ballroom to Host Red Bull Battle Grounds on November 23-24

Eight of the World's Top StarCraft II Players to Battle for $50,000 in Prize Money

NEW YORK, NY--(Marketwired - November 13, 2013) - When StarCraft II: Wings of Liberty was released in July 2010, it became the fastest-selling real-time strategy game of all time, with over three million copies sold worldwide in the first month.

On November 23 and 24, Manhattan Center's Hammerstein Ballroom will host eight of the top StarCraft II players in the world as they battle it out for $50,000 in prize money. Get up close and personal with your favorite StarCraft personalities and players at this two-day galactic slugfest. Get ready for the sickest nerd chills! Doors open at noon each day and the action starts at 1 pm ET. Tickets are available for single-day purchase or for the entire weekend.

Four of the contenders have already been named: Jang "MC" Min Chul (Red Bull Battle Grounds Champion 2012) and Choi "Bomber" Ji Sung (Red Bull Battle Grounds 2012 Runner-up) will be joined by Jo "Golden" Myeong Hwan (Red Bull Training Grounds Santa Monica Winner) and Jens "Snute" Aasgaard (Red Bull Training Grounds Orlando Winner). The remaining four will have won their way to the event via an upcoming qualifying event.
