NEW YORK, NY--(Marketwired - November 05, 2013) - Back in February, My Bloody Valentine released m b v -- its third studio album and first since 1991's Loveless -- to across-the-board critical acclaim and rabid consumption from fans. The big question was: Would Kevin Shields and company hit the road in support of the album? This was answered emphatically with a series of European and West Coast gigs earlier this year.
Now it's New York City's turn. My Bloody Valentine comes to Manhattan Center's Hammerstein Ballroom, located at 311 West 34th Street between Eighth and Ninth Avenues, on Monday, November 11 and Tuesday, November 12 at 8:00 pm.
Known for their use of distortion, pitch blending and digital reverse reverb, the band -- consisting of Kevin Shields (vocals, guitar), Colm Ó Cíosóig (drums), Bilinda Butcher (vocals, guitar) and Debbie Googe (bass) -- created and pioneered an alternative rock subgenre known as shoegazing.
