Mannix Resources Inc. Amended and Restated Documents Refiled on SEDAR

VANCOUVER, BRITISH COLUMBIA--(Marketwire - May 16, 2012) - Mannix Resources Inc. ("Mannix" or the "Company") announces that as result of a review by the British Columbia Securities Commission, we are issuing the following press release to clarify our disclosure.

The Company made applications to both the British Columbia Securities Commission (BCSC) and the Alberta Securities Commission (ASC) to revoke the Cease Trade Orders (CTO) issued against the Company. In connection with the application, the BCSC reviewed the Company's December 31, 2011 interim quarterly filings on SEDAR and requested the Company amend and restate certain information in the Management Discussion and Analysis (MD&A) for the interim period ended December 31, 2011.

These revisions include:

  • Removal of references to Internal Controls, and managements' conclusions on the effectiveness of Internal Controls. The original wording conflicted with disclosure in Form 52-109F2 Certification of Interim Filing.
  • Revised wording regarding disclosure of Forward-looking Statements. The original disclosure was deemed to be inadequate.
  • Added missing disclosure of the accounting principles used for the financial information provided in the table listed under "Selected Quarterly Financial Information".

In addition to filing the amended and restated MD&A document the Company also filed a new Form 52-109F2R -Certification of Refiled Interim Filing - for both the CEO and CFO, for the interim period ended December 31, 2011.
