During the Annual General Meeting of the Ordre des comptables agréés du Québec on September 29, 2011, Manon Durivage, FCA, quality control partner at BDO Canada in Montreal, officially began her term as Chair of the Ordre. A woman of heart and action, Manon Durivage epitomizes the search for excellence and integrity, two values that are shared by the accounting profession. Her innovative spirit and commitment to teamwork make her a recognized and valued leader.

A chartered accountant since 1988, Manon Durivage, FCA, has worked as a professional in a number of prominent accounting firms serving her various clients and, more recently, overseeing quality control and professional practice. She soon became known for her know-how and professionalism and quickly became a partner.

Ms. Durivage's considerable experience and skills led her to manage, for a number of years, teams of professionals who carried out sensitive assignments for a clientele of small and mid-sized companies. She is currently in charge of assurance and accounting training at her firm, ensuring clients the highest standards of quality.

Manon Durivage has been involved with the Ordre for nearly ten years. She has been a member of the Board of Directors since 2002, and was elected to the Executive Committee in 2006. Before her recent election as Chair, she had served as Vice-Chair of the Ordre since 2009.

Manon Durivage, FCA, will be assisted in her new role by Daniel McMahon, FCA, President and CEO of the Ordre, and by the Executive Committee made up the following members: Alain Dugal, CA, Partner – Audit and Assurance Group Leader for Quebec at PwC, André Dugal, CA, a partner at KPMG, Jacques Lefebvre, ASC, director appointed by the Office des professions du Québec and Hélène Racine, CA, coordinator for HEC Montréal's graduate diploma in public accountancy.
