Mantle Resources Inc.: Assay Results for Hole A-07-43

VANCOUVER, BRITISH COLUMBIA--(Marketwire - Sept. 24, 2007) - Mantle Resources Inc. (TSX VENTURE:MTS)(FRANKFURT:A0F7E1) (the "Company"), is pleased to report the following assay results for hole A-07-43, the first hole completed during the 2007 exploration program currently underway at its 100% owned Akie zinc-lead property, located in northeastern British Columbia, approximately 260 kilometers north-northwest of the town of Mackenzie.

These compiled assay values have been derived from analytical data provided by Acme Analytical Laboratories Ltd., Vancouver, B.C. (Acme). The Acme sample pulps have been subjected to confirmatory analyses for lead and zinc by Global Discovery Labs, Vancouver, B.C. and have yielded similar results. The true width (TW) of the mineralization is estimated to be approximately 65% of the core interval, but this is subject to revision.

This hole, drilled from the same collar location as A-94-12 (7.0 meters TW @ 8.5% zinc, 1.6% lead and 14.3 g/t silver), completed by Inmet Mining Corporation in 1994, was targeted to test the down-plunge continuation to the south of the high grade mineralization encountered in A-05-30 (24.63 meters TW @ 11.86% zinc, 2.83% lead and 23.98 g/t silver), collared some 100 meters to the northwest. These results suggest that mineralization extends for a distance of at least 150 meters down dip. The high grade intercept noted above contains pyrite, sphalerite and lesser galena in fine laminations to semi-massive accumulations up to several meters thick, accompanied by minor thin shale beds ranging in thickness from several centimeters up to about 1 meter. The mineralized horizon, referred to as the Cardiac Creek Zone, occurs at the base of the 'Gunsteel' formation.

"These results from the first hole of our expanded 2007 program demonstrate two key essentials for the Cardiac Creek Zone: that exploration potential downplunge of previous drill intercepts in the south east remains open and that this area of the deposit contains some of the highest zinc-lead grades encountered to date. I believe there is considerable potential to expand the mineralized zone on the Akie property both on strike and downplunge based on the relatively underexplored nature of the property," commented Mr. Jim Mustard, President of Mantle Resources.

Assay Samples and Procedures

All core selected for analysis is split by diamond saw and sampled, with a maximum of 1.5 meters of core in each sample. These are placed in plastic bags, shipped in secure containers to Acme Analytical Laboratories Ltd., Vancouver, B.C., and there subjected to aqua regia digestion followed by ICP-ES and ICP-MS analysis (Acme Group 7AX Multi-Element Assay) to determine zinc, lead and silver content. Standards and blanks are inserted into the assay stream at a rate of about one of each for every 25 core samples. Check assays are routinely carried out by Global Discovery Labs, also in Vancouver, employing aqua regia digestion followed by atomic absorption finish (Group 4).

About the Akie Property

The Akie zinc-lead property is situated within the southern-most part (Kechika Trough) of the regionally extensive Paleozoic Selwyn Basin, one of the most prolific sedimentary basins in the world for the occurrence of SEDEX zinc-lead-silver and stratiform barite deposits.

Drilling on the Akie property by Inmet Mining Corporation during the period 1994 to 1996 and by Mantle in 2005 and 2006 and this year has identified a significant body of baritic SEDEX mineralization (Cardiac Creek Zone) with an average thickness of greater than 12 meters and an average zinc+lead content in excess of 10%. The deposit is hosted by variably siliceous, fine grained clastic rocks of the Middle to Late Devonian 'Gunsteel Formation'.

Two similar deposits, Cirque and South Cirque, located some 20 kilometers northwest of Akie and owned under a joint venture by Teck Cominco and Korea Zinc, are also hosted by Gunsteel rocks and have a combined geologic inventory in excess of 50 million tonnes averaging approximately 10% combined zinc+lead.
