Many Women Opting for Mommy Makeover Following Child Bearing

SAN DIEGO, CA--(Marketwired - Aug 7, 2015) - San Diego Plastic Surgeon Antoine Hallak is reporting that many women from Generation X are now having body contouring procedures performed like the Mommy Make-Over following their child bearing years. Unlike earlier female generations, Generation X women are more likely to embrace the benefits of modern surgical techniques. This is a generation that grew up on new innovative technologies, and are far more comfortable taking advantage of modern advancements in surgery.

Dr. Hallak is reporting that the Mommy Makeover is very popular for women in their 30s and 40s that have completed raising a family. Giving birth and breast-feeding certainly take their toll on a woman's body, and in Southern California women spend a lot of time in their bathing suits. For many women they are simply embarrassed by how their body looks following child bearing. This procedure helps many women restore their confidence and sex appeal.

The Mommy Makeover procedure involves a number of techniques including breast lift, liposuction and tummy tuck. For many of these women they are athletic and work out hard but simply can't do anything about the loose skin and saggy breasts from child bearing. This procedure helps many women achieve a younger more youthful body following the heavy toll a female body goes through giving birth and feeding.

Dr. Hallak recommends that women considering this procedure should be done having children. This is not a procedure you want to have performed if you think there is a chance you may want more children. The results would be compromised as the skin is stretched and pulled once again. In addition this is not a procedure to have performed right after giving birth, it is important to wait until your body recovers and your weight is stabilized.

Dr. Hallak also recommends having this procedure done when there is time to rest following the Mommy Make-Over procedure. The average time for recovery varies but you can expect 2-3 weeks of resting. He also recommends not doing any heavy lifting including lifting children until about 6 weeks post-op.

Dr. Hallak is Board certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery. He has completed a full training in General Surgery in New York City prior to specialization in Plastic Reconstructive and Cosmetic Surgery at the world renowned McGill University in Montreal Canada.
