LOS ANGELES, CA--(Marketwired - Feb 2, 2015) - Marathon Patent Group, Inc. (NASDAQ: MARA) ("Marathon"), a patent licensing company, announced today that on January 29, 2015, the company's subsidiary Selene Communication Technologies, LLC, entered into settlement and license agreement with Alert Logic, Inc. The consideration to be paid by Alert Logic, Inc. to Selene Communication Technologies, LLC and all other terms of the license agreement are confidential.

Selene Communication Technologies, LLC's U.S. patent assets include U.S. Patent Nos. 7,143,444 and 6,363,377.

The '377 Patent is currently being asserted against defendants in The United States District Court of Delaware, including EMC, Thomson Reuters, and Reed Elsevier. The '444 Patent is currently being asserted against defendants in The United States District Court of Delaware, including EMC, Trend Micro, and Fluke.
