Marc-Boris St-Maurice responds to charges of marijuana possession

Marc-Boris St-Maurice will appear in court Thursday and Friday, 17 and­ 18 March 2005, to respond to charges of marijuana possession. Attention: Assignment Editor, Media Editor, News Editor, Photo Editor, Government/Political Affairs Editor MONTREAL, QUÉBEC--(CCNMatthews - March 16, 2005) - Marc-Boris St-Maurice will appear in court Thursday and Friday, 17 and­ 18 March 2005, to respond to charges of marijuana possession.

(09:30 hrs -- Room 6.01, Palais de Justice, 1 rue Notre-Dame east)

Mr. St-Maurice is being represented by Montreal attorney Julius Grey who will argue that the evidence gathered at the time of his client's arrest at Montreal's 'Chez Marijane' last March, be excluded on constitutional grounds.

Mr. St-Maurice will be available to answer questions from the press at 09:00 on Thursday, 17 March in the atrium of the Palais de Justice on the third floor.

Mr. St-Maurice was founder and leader of both the Bloc Pot and the Federal Marijuana Party.

He is presently a member in good standing of the Liberal party of Canada.
