March Resources Corp. Receives Final Government Approval on Chilean Project

CALGARY, ALBERTA--(CCNMatthews - April 30, 2007) - March Resources Corp. ("March") (TSX VENTURE:MCF) is pleased to announce that it has received an invitation for a signing ceremony for the execution of the definitive Special Operations Contracts ("SPOC"), with the Chilean government. The meeting is scheduled for May 9, 2007, in the city of Iquique. The SPOC outlines the exploration and development rights on the blocks, which are valid for a period of 35 years and will detail the work commitments that are required for each of the two blocks.

That SPOC was the final approval needed to begin the oil and gas exploration and development work on two blocks in Northern Chile in the Tamarugal Basin. The Pica North and Pica South blocks in this basin consist of approximately 9,500 square kms (2,500,000 acres).

In regard to the exploration project, March has also negotiated a contract for a Canadian based rig and crew to be used for the project. It is expected that the final contract with the rig will be executed concurrent with the signing of the SPOC.

With the receipt of the SPOC and the rig secured, March will begin the initial exploration wells as soon as practical, and is anticipating a spud date in the late summer.
