MARIFIL MINES LTD. (TSX VENTURE:MFM) announces that ongoing exploration on its wholly-owned Toruel epithermal silver property in Rio Negro Province, Argentina has significantly expanded the scope of the original high-grade discovery . Twenty veins with anomalous precious metal values have now been identified within a structural corridor more than two kilometers wide and more than 7 kilometers in length.

Notable new discoveries include the White Goat vein, which has been traced for more than two kilometers along strike with widths up to 30 m; the Mancha Blanca vein, which has been traced for more than 1,000 m along strike and is open-ended (width unknown); as well as several veins discovered within the past week.

Forty trenches have been completed to date and the rest of the current trenching program is expected to be completed within the next few days. The flow of assay results should start within the next three weeks. The Company has also contracted for an Induced Polarization (IP) geophysical survey which will start in October. A second phase of drilling consisting of both expansion drilling on the Toruel vein and the initial testing of several new targets is expected to begin in November, depending upon availability of drills.
