Marin Community Foundation Selects ChesterCAP's Dotche Platform as Its Online Grant Application Solution

CEDAR KNOLLS, NJ -- (MARKET WIRE) -- April 16, 2007 --ChesterCAP, LLC is pleased to announce today that the Marin Community Foundation (MCF) has selected the company's innovative Dotche platform as its online grant application solution. MCF, based in Novato, CA., is one of the country's largest community foundations, with assets of more than $1.1 billion at the close of its 2006 fiscal year. ChesterCAP continues to expand its business as it has entered into agreements with several community foundations to adopt the Dotche technology since last fall.

"This is an exciting milestone for ChesterCAP and Dotche," says Eric Swerdlin, ChesterCAP's founder and CEO. "The Marin Community Foundation is truly one of the elite community foundations in the country and we are enthusiastic about aligning our company and software with such a great organization."

"We are pleased to be partnering with ChesterCAP and look forward to a long-term relationship," says Laura Goff, Chief Information Officer at MCF. "This partnership represents a tremendous process improvement for us which will help advance our overall mission going forward."

Dotche is the unique online philanthropic marketplace that is redefining the donor-grant seeker relationship. Dotche affords greater collaboration between grantmakers and grant applicants; those organizations seeking grant money to do meaningful philanthropic work. Through its Charitable Catalogue, Dotche allows donors to gain greater awareness of specific programs, projects, and scholarship opportunities. It also allows grantors to unite online to evaluate grant proposals, scholarship applications, and other opportunities available to them.

"We looked at a lot of online grant application technology solutions and we believe that ChesterCAP's Dotche platform is deeper and richer in functionality than anything we have seen," says Sid Hartman, Vice President of Finance and Administration at MCF.

ChesterCAP is also working with MCF to modify and enhance the Dotche platform to meet the foundation's specific needs.

"The ability for us to tailor Dotche to our unique specifications made ChesterCAP and Dotche the perfect choice for MCF," adds Mr. Hartman. "This custom programming streamlines our back office by allowing us to connect our document management system to our grant management software. It's a great match for our existing processes."

The grant application process has traditionally been lengthy and paper-intensive. Dotche allows community foundations and related entities to receive and store data electronically, thereby eliminating the tedious multiple cycles of data re-entry while improving the timeliness and accuracy of information flow. The addition of Dotche is one of the final phases of MCF's goal of a paperless office. The software essentially removes the foundation's last large paper-intensive process and allows the back office infrastructure to be almost entirely digitized.

"The idea of being 90% paperless is an exciting goal for us and Dotche accelerates our timeline for reaching that goal," says Hartman. "This process improvement will be a win/win for MCF and the grant applicant."

Adds Ms. Goff, "Our expectation is that Dotche will improve the timeliness and accuracy of the grant application experience for our grantees while improving the efficiency of processing for our back office system and work flow."
