Marin Software and Bing Announce 2016 SMX Biggest Search Geek Winners

Christoff Berlage Named Grand Prize Winner in 8th Annual Contest

The awards are being presented in conjunction with Third Door Media, the conference producer behind SMX Advanced, and Bing, the global search engine behind nearly 1 in 3 PC searches in the U.S.

The SEM quiz challenges the world's brightest search marketers to prove their expertise for a chance to win a flight and hotel accommodations for two to SMX Advanced in Seattle, Washington. Christoff Berlage, Digital Campaign Manager at Virgin Group, topped challengers from around the world to be named this year's Grand Prize Winner. Berlage scored 93% in just under five minutes.

Marin Software recognized Berlage on stage at SMX Advanced on June 23, 2016. The European Regional prize went to Elouise James, while the North American Regional prize went to Jake Hughes and Danny Lam picked up the Australian Regional award.

In addition to a fully paid trip to SMX Advanced, Grand Prize winner Berlage will also receive his choice of an Apple Watch, Amazon Echo, or Microsoft Surface Pro 4. As regional winners, James, Hughes, and Lam will receive their choice of one of these devices. The top 50 finishers will receive a free SMX Biggest Search Geek t-shirt and an SMX Biggest Search Geek badge to display on their websites.
