Mark Logan Appointed Chief Operating Officer of Emptoris, Inc., Lori Webber Promoted to Chief Marketing Officer

On Heels of Rivermine Acquisition, Logan Brings Additional Senior Leadership Experience to an Expanding Global Organization

BURLINGTON, MA and LONDON--(Marketwire - March 10, 2011) - Emptoris, Inc. ("Emptoris"), a leading provider of strategic supply management, enterprise contract management and telecom expense management solutions, today announced the appointment of Mark Logan as Chief Operating Officer (COO). Logan will report to Patrick D. Quirk, president and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Emptoris, and will be responsible for driving the company's continued growth in its customer base and revenues, as well as its global operations.

The company also announced the promotion of Lori Webber to Chief Marketing Officer (CMO). Webber, who will report directly to CEO Patrick Quirk, will continue to lead the company's global marketing efforts with responsibility for all aspects of marketing including product marketing, corporate communications, field and partner marketing programs, as well as new product introductions and launches.

"Emptoris' next stage of growth requires us to continue to be opportunistic in strategically expanding our business, and equally as thoughtful in expanding our top-notch management team," said Patrick D. Quirk, president and CEO of Emptoris. "Mark Logan's leadership and proven track record in generating significant and sustainable corporate revenue growth, as well as driving industry-leading customer satisfaction, makes him a perfect fit at the perfect time for Emptoris."

Logan previously served as president and CEO of Rivermine, a leading provider of telecom expense management (TEM) solutions, and guided the company during its acquisition by Emptoris in December 2010. In his new role as COO, Logan will oversee all global sales, customer support and professional services programs for Emptoris, as well as manage all business activities for Rivermine, now an Emptoris company.

Quirk also noted that Logan brings Emptoris deep knowledge and understanding of the challenges global companies face and the strategies they employ to manage high-value, yet challenging areas of spend. As president and CEO of Rivermine, Logan led the company to become the fastest-growing vendor in the TEM industry, with 400 percent revenue growth over a four-year period. Logan also increased overall profitability for the company.

"Emptoris' growth is driven by its goal to help Global 2000 companies manage their most complex, critical spend categories -- and I am excited to be part of a company with such a clear vision and value proposition," said Mark Logan, COO of Emptoris. "For more than a decade the experience and capabilities of the entire Rivermine team have been laser focused on helping customers manage one of the most significant and complex areas of spending, telecom expense."

Before joining Rivermine in 2004, Logan was a vice president and general manager for PeopleSoft's CRM Business Unit, joining the company from its acquisition of JD Edwards. Logan previously served as a vice president and general manager at JD Edwards, leading the company's formal CRM market entry.

Prior to joining Emptoris, Lori Webber served as senior vice president and CMO at SupplyScape Corporation, a provider of software and services that secure safety and value in the pharmaceutical supply chain. Prior to SupplyScape, Webber served as vice president of marketing at Dassault Systems, a provider of 3D and product lifecycle management (PLM) software, and as vice president of marketing at MatrixOne, Inc., a leading provider of business collaboration and enterprise PLM software to Fortune 1000 companies.

"In her time with Emptoris, Lori Webber has become a key part of the senior management team. As Emptoris continues to grow and expand globally, the company needs a CMO of Webber's caliber to ensure that its investments in global marketing are highly effective and clearly communicate the value that Emptoris solutions deliver," concluded Quirk.
